Señor Amor, Project Manager

Senor Amor - Jonamor - Project ManagerSeñor Amor entered the world of interior design through a side door. This journey began almost 20 years ago when he became the co-host of the weekly radio show “The Molotov Cocktail Hour” on KXLU. In order to bring new music to his show each week, he scoured thrift stores throughout Southern California. During these excursions he also purchased vintage clothes and furniture. After he met Jonona, his casual furniture collecting became a full-time vocation.

In 2004, he and Jonona established a booth at The La Brea Antique collection and they added a booth at Antique Mall 111 in Palm Springs. Once he got a taste of dealing vintage home furnishings, he was hooked. The opening of Retropia followed soon after in 2006. Señor is responsible for the day to day operations of Retropia which has been featured in the L.A. Times, the L.A. Weekly, Daily Variety, City Beat Magazine, and New Angeles magazine – you can view the store at http://retropia.net

Along with Jonamor Décor, Señor continues to own and operate his DJ business at http://Señoramor.com. He spins at Clubs such as The Edison and special events like Lucha Va Voom.
